Today I met up with one of my housemates for the first time!
I met Santhiya about a week ago while I was cooking and we had a little talk, she seemed so nice and we exchanged numbers. On monday I texted her to ask if she would like to meet up for a drink or dinner and she responded that she would love to. So we made plans to meet on Sunday (today).
I didn't see her at the house the rest of the week but today we met up and she also brought a friend from het class. They suggested to go visit Yoyogi park and its beautifull shrine, and so we did.
The shrine was really pretty but I couldn't take any pictures because it wasn't allowed. We also had to do this purification ritual before we could enter.
It was pouring rain all day so after some exploring we went to the cafΓ© in the park to have a coffee and warm up a little. Then we walked around a little more, the park was so pretty! It felt like we were walking trough a jungle when in reality we were in the middle of 1 of the biggest cities in the world. I think that's one of the things I love most about Tokyo, it has so many different vibes going on and it just feels like you're going into different universes whilst you are actually still in that 1 city.
After visiting the park we went into Yoyogi center and walked around for a bit, we saw this really cool mall that looked like a piece fell out and plants grew instead. We went for a beer and then took the metro to a restaurant for dinner.
They suggested to have Indian food since they are both Indian and they love their own food, we went into this really authentic restaurant. The restaurant was actually buffet style so we could choose whatever we liked. I let them make me a plate with all the good stuff and I really enjoyed it.
It was quite funny because I was the only person in the whole restaurant who was eating with a spoon and fork, Indians usually use their hands to eat but I felt more comfortable using my spoon π The food was honestly amazing and we had a really nice chat!

Hope you have many more nice friend-dates! Have fun and enjoy the coming week. π©·
